- Prof. Dr. Eng. Miroslav Todorov — Founder & CEO Structural Design Ltd. was founded by Prof. Dr. Eng. Miroslav Todorov, a leading Bulgarian expert in geotechnical and structural engineering. With numerous scientific publications, textbooks and design guidelines to his name, he has made significant contributions to the understanding of soil–structure interaction and the behavior of buried and underground structures. For more than a decade, Miroslav has headed the Geotechnical Laboratory at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) in Sofia, where he is a full Professor responsible for research, standards development and the training of new generations of engineers. His combined academic and practical experience underpins the company’s technical philosophy, quality procedures and advanced design methods.
- Eng. Margarita Todorova — Chief Financial Officer Margarita Todorova is a Nuclear Design Engineer and an experienced accountant with more than 25 years in engineering and finance. Her career includes work on complex projects such as Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, where precision in design, compliance and cost control is critical. Since the establishment of Structural Design Ltd., she has overseen all financial operations, budgeting and project accounting, ensuring stable long-term planning, rigorous cost management and reliable financial governance across the company’s portfolio.
- MEng Mihail Todorov — Director of Renewable Energy Mihail Todorov holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow and is currently pursuing a PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and Economics. He has delivered civil and structural designs for over 2 GW of solar PV projects and associated BESS infrastructure across Europe, including several award-winning schemes. His experience spans full-scale civil design, roads, drainage, infrastructure, foundation and mounting-structure design, as well as coordination with EPC contractors and stakeholders. As Director of Renewable Energy, Mihail focuses on integrating robust, buildable civil solutions with innovation, advanced project methodologies and technically driven utility-scale renewable-energy developments.
Accomplishments include the publication of more than 40 publications and 2 university books across reputable publishing institutions worldwide. Designed training courses to introduce the Eurocode system in Bulgaria and developed a video course titled “Comparative analysis of MAAE, American, and Russian nuclear regulations for Nuclear Power Plants.” Participated as a Consultant for the Ministry of Environmental and Water, Department “Cohesion policy and the environment.”

CEO of the company is Miroslav Todorov – MSc in Civil Engineering, PhD in Geotechnical – Ground base foundation and buried structures. Conducted a study titled “Study of Soil Properties In the Interaction of Buried Structures.” Currently serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG), Sofia, Bulgaria. Has been leading the Geotechnical Laboratory within the University of Civil Engineering’s laboratory for over a decade.
